WC 15, ex-AC 9606 or AC 9602
Title:  WC 15, ex-AC 9606 or AC 9602
Description:  An interesting new visitor rests in the CN, former SOO yard, at Neenah, WI, on 13 Nov. '20. Some references avow that WC 15 was built in 1976 as AC 9606. However, the last number partially visible under the WC logo looks more like a 2 than a 6. AC 9602 was renumber WC 12 according to some references. The CN depot/yard office is the gray building beyond the caboose. The tan 4- or 5-story facility behind and to the right of that is 5K Fibres, 1111 Henry St., based in Greenville, WI. They purchased the former Kimberly-Clark Corp. (K-C) Neenah Nonwovens Facility ca. Apr. '20.

GTW 5852 and WC 15
Title:  GTW 5852 and WC 15
Description:  A CN local passes the W. Cecil St. overpass (Timothy Hamblin Bridge) as it traverses the former SOO yard at Neenah, WI, on 4 Apr. '21. Local had one locomotive, GTW 5852, and a caboose, WC 15. Sorry, but I will not willingly utter the phrase "shoving platform" to describe a piece of rolling stock which is obviously a caboose. A remnant of the former C&NW main line, now relegated to a spur, also in use by CN, can be seen in the background. The overpass, erected to eliminate the grade crossing, opened to traffic on 20 Nov. '07. The sign at the right is a reminder of that former grade crossing, it says "Main & Pass - Do Not Park Cars Between Here & Crossing." WC 15 is a former AC caboose. According to http://trainweb.org/algoma/cabooses.html, it was built in 1976 as AC 9606. However, the last number under the WC logo looks more like a 2 than a 6 (AC 9602 was renumbered WC 12 according to that web site).

GTW 5852 and WC 15
Title:  GTW 5852 and WC 15
Description:  A CN local rests at the south end of the former SOO yard at Neenah, WI, on 4 Apr. '21. Local had one locomotive, GTW 5852, and a caboose, WC 15. Sorry, but I will not willingly utter the phrase "shoving platform" to describe a piece of rolling stock which is obviously a caboose. A remnant of the former C&NW main line, now relegated to a spur, also in use by CN, runs parallel along the other side to the train. The W. Cecil St. overpass (Timothy Hamblin Bridge) is partially visible to the left. The overpass, erected to eliminate the grade crossing, opened to traffic on 20 Nov. '07. WC 15 is a former AC caboose. According to http://trainweb.org/algoma/cabooses.html, it was built in 1976 as AC 9606. However, the last number under the WC logo looks more like a 2 than a 6 (AC 9602 was renumber WC 12 according to that web site).

IC 3101
Title:  IC 3101
Description:  A CN train crosses Clayton Ave. (and crosses the border from Fox Crossing, Winnebago Co., WI, to the Town of Clayton, Winnebago Co., WI) as it heads west along former SOO rails at Town of Clayton, Winnebago Co., WI, on 26 Feb. '23. Fox Crossing, WI, was formerly Town of Menasha, Winnebago Co., WI, from 1855 until 14 Apr. 2016. I was thrilled to see a caboose in the consist. Sorry, but I will not willingly utter the phrase "shoving platform" to describe a piece of rolling stock which is obviously a caboose. WC 15 is the former AC 9602, although one reference claims it was AC 9606.
