Title:  ILSX 1338 and ELS 500
Description:  E&LS train passes the team track as it approaches Main St. while hauling 27 cars northward via former MILW rails at Abrams, WI on 31 Jul. '14. It is cool to see a former MILW unit, ELS 500, running on former MILW rails; obviously it would be much cooler if was wearing its original paint scheme. The pulpwood cars could easily be loaded where they sit. Are the covered hoppers loaded or unloaded by Abrams Feed & Grain (out of frame to the right) somehow, or are they spotted here for some other reason? On old maps it appears the depot stood to the right, west, of the cars on the team track, but there is clearly enough room for the depot to have stood between the tracks, with the team track running behind it.

Description:  A 27-car E&LS train parked on former MILW rails short of Duame Rd. at Stiles Junction, WI on 31 Jul. '14. I presume they ran out of time. I was at Lena, waiting to photograph this train there. After sitting there for about an hour and a half, with the sun nearing the horizon, I decided to head for home, and found the train parked here. It is cool to see a former MILW unit, ELS 500, running on former MILW rails; obviously it would be much cooler if it was wearing its original paint scheme.

Description:  E&LS train passes the Amberg Veteran’s Memorial and approaches Coleman St./Hwy. V as it pulls 54 cars southeast via former MILW rails at Amberg (originally Pike), WI on a misty 1 Oct. '14. I believe the depot stood right about here, east (right) of the tracks. The depot has been moved to the Amberg Museum Complex about 2 1/2 blocks to the southwest. I don’t know the train’s point of origin, but it was bound for Crivitz, WI.
