A CN container train passes the W. Bell St. overpass and parallels Hwy. 41 as it heads southwest via former SOO rails at Neenah, WI on 8 Dec. '19. Train had two locomotives, CN 3210 pulling and CN 3002 pushing. The through freight at right rests upon a remnant of the former C&NW main line, now relegated to a passing siding. Neenah Foundry Plant 2 & Plant 3 are partially visible in the background at right. Plant 2 opened in 1960 and Plant 3 was built in 1967. Plant 1 opened in 1918 and stood about a mile to the north, until it was closed in 1994 and eventually demolished. |
