A southbound CN container train passes the depot/yard office as it heads southwest through an unusually empty former C&NW yard at Oshkosh, WI on 9 Apr. '16. Normally this view of the facility is blocked by the cars in the yard. I've never seen this yard completely empty. I haven’t seen cars spotted here since at least 31 Jan. '16. Train had two locomotives, CN 8961 pulling and CN 8931 pushing. The new bascule bridge over the Fox River is visible background right, it was completed in Aug. '13 to replace the 1899 swing bridge. |
