CN container train approaches the former Byrd Ave. grade crossing and parallels Harrison St. as heads northeast via former SOO rails at the south end of the yard at Neenah, WI on 12 Mar. '17. Train had five locomotives, CN 2299, CN 5445, CN 5711, CN 2573, CN 2602. Neenah Foundry Plant 2 & Plant 3 are partially visible at left. Plant 2 opened in 1960 and Plant 3 was built in 1967. Plant 1 opened in 1918 and stood about a mile to the north, until it was closed in 1994 and eventually demolished. |
