GLVX 20, GLVX 28, GLVX 30, and GLVX 25
Title:  GLVX 20, GLVX 28, GLVX 30, and GLVX 25
Description:  Four Marion Plywood cars (GLVX 20, GLVX 28, GLVX 30, and GLVX 25) spotted on the team track in New London, WI on 23 Jul. '14. Usually there are only 1 or 2 cars spotted here at a time. This facility is serviced by CN via a combination of former GB&W and C&NW rails from Appleton. The cars are owned by Marion Plywood Corp. (est. 1894); the logs are trans-loaded to trucks for the 24-mile trip to their mill at Marion, WI. Marion had rail service, courtesy C&NW from 1879 to 1982.

CN 9452 w/Marion Plywood Quartet
Title:  CN 9452 w/Marion Plywood Quartet
Description:  CN local sets out a string of cars, including 4 Marion Plywood Corp. cars, at the former C&NW yard at Appleton Junction, WI on 17 Aug. '14. You usually encounter these cars by ones and twos, it’s kind of cool when you find this many together, GLVX 28, GLVX 30, GLVX 25 and GLVX 27.

GLVX 23, GLVX 30, GLVX 19
Title:  GLVX 23, GLVX 30, GLVX 19
Description:  I was thrilled to find a trio of loaded Marion Plywood Corp. cars, GLVX 23, GLVX 30, GLVX 19, at the CN, former SOO, yard at Neenah, WI, on 18 Feb. '19. I was thrilled because I haven't seen a loaded GLVX car since Feb. '17, so I've been worried about the status of rail service for that historic facility. The cars are owned by Marion Plywood Corp. (est. 1894) and will be spotted on a former GB&W team track at New London, WI, in a couple of days. There, the logs will be trans-loaded to trucks for the 24-mile trip to Marion, WI. Marion had rail service, courtesy of C&NW, from 1879 to 1982. The reporting mark belongs to Great Lakes Veneer, Inc., a subsidiary of Marion Plywood Corp.

GLVX 23, GLVX 30, GLVX 19
Title:  GLVX 23, GLVX 30, GLVX 19
Description:  A trio of loaded Marion Plywood Corp. cars, GLVX 23, GLVX 30, GLVX 19, were part of the consist of a CN local crossing Towmen Rd. as it headed northeast at Shawano Junction, Fox Crossing (originally Town of Menasha until 14 Apr. '16), Winnebago Co., WI on 19 Feb. '19. This spot used to be named Fox River Junction, after several segments of the original C&NW main line through Menasha and Neenah were removed and a turnout was installed here (out-of-frame to the right) which allows the bypass of missing C&NW rails by using former SOO rails. The local is transitioning to the former C&NW rails to head for Appleton, Little Chute, and Kaukauna. The SOO rails in the foreground continue toward Shawano, WI.
