'18. This spot used to be named Fox River Junction, after several segments of the original C&NW main line through Menasha and Neenah were removed and a turnout was installed here which allows the bypass of missing C&NW rails by using former SOO rails. Train had three locomotives, NS 8945, NS 1065, NS 2600. |

UP unit train of 2-bay covered hoppers speeds past the site of the former C&NW depot as it speeds southeast at Grand Marsh, WI on 16 Jul. '15. Train had three locomotives, UP 3834, UP 7106, and UP xx08. The depot was built in 1911, when this section of the line was laid. Supposedly the depot still exists, having been moved to a new site in town and converted into a home. |

A CN through freight passes Neenah Foundry Plant 2 & Plant 3 as heads southwest via C&NW rails at the south end of the yard at Neenah, WI on 24 Apr. '18. Plant 2 opened in 1960 and Plant 3 was built in 1967. Plant 1 opened in 1918 and stood about a mile to the north, until it was closed in 1994 and eventually demolished. Train had two locomotives, UP 3861 and CN 5454. The former SOO rails can be seen along Harrison St. |
