CN local momentarily fouls W. Prospect Ave./Hwy. BB while picking up a string of cars from the southwest end of the former C&NW yard at Appleton Junction, WI on its way back to the former SOO yard at Neenah, WI on 25 Apr. '16. The local is spanning 3 communities at once in a peculiar spot of the sometimes confusing local borders. This section of the road is the border separating the Town of Grand Chute, Outagamie Co., WI to the north (left) and the Town of Menasha, Winnebago Co., WI to the south (right). The locomotives and the 1st freight car are in the Town of Menasha, the next 3-4 freight cars are in the Town of Grand Chute, and, thanks to an unnatural jog in the border, the remainder of the train, out of frame to the left, is in Appleton, WI. |
