Three CN trains (2 through freights and a local) bide their time along Harrison St. at the former SOO yard at Neenah, WI on 19 Dec. '18. Northbound through freight had four locomotives, CN 5707, CN 5475, NS 9708, BNSF 4989. They were waiting for an approaching container train. Local and southbound through freight are out-of-frame to the left. Neenah Foundry Plant 2 & Plant 3 are partially visible in the background. Plant 2 opened in 1960 and Plant 3 was built in 1967. Plant 1 opened in 1918 and stood about a mile to the north, until it was closed in 1994 and eventually demolished. |
