CN 2842
Title:  CN 2842
Description:  A CN unit train of tank cars parallels Hwy. 41 as it heads northeast via former SOO rails at Snells, WI, on 15 Mar. '20. Train had two locomotives, CN 2842 pulling as well as UP 5987 pushing. Snells, formerly known as Snell’s Station or Snell’s Crossing, is now little more than a map dot in the Town of Neenah, Winnebago Co. This small, rural community once included a post office, depot, cheese factory, sawmill, school, and stockyard. It does not look like any real remnants of the original community remain. Even the station sign, erected after the depot was removed, is gone. The former C&NW rails run parallel on other side of the train.
