Description:  An interesting trio of out-of-town visitors lead a through freight across Towmen Rd. via CN rails as it transitions from former SOO rails (in the foreground) to former C&NW rails at Shawano Junction, WI on 24 Feb. '18. This spot used to be named Fox River Junction, after several segments of the original C&NW main line through Menasha and Neenah were removed and a turnout was installed here which allows the bypass of missing C&NW rails by using former SOO rails. Train had three locomotives, NS 8945, NS 1065, NS 2600.

Description:  An interesting foreign visitor leads a CN through freight across W. 2nd St. as it heads southwest past the former C&NW yard at Appleton Junction, WI on 5 May '18. Carter's Caboose, a small, old, rail side tavern, is partially visible beyond the train at left. It was called Netticoat Junction ca. the '90s and Pete's Junction (possibly Palomino Pete's Junction) ca. the '70s.
