CN 2653, CN 8940, CN 2118, CN 2199, CN 2340 |
Description: |
CN through freight approaches E. Snell Rd. and passes a halted through freight as it heads southwest via former SOO rails at Oshkosh, WI on 23 Jul. '17. The moving train had 2 locomotives, CN 2653 and CN 8940, and the halted train had at least five locomotives, including CN 2118, CN 2199, CN 2340. I was standing at what used to be the former C&NW grade crossing. The border between the City of Oshkosh and the Town of Oshkosh is quite convoluted in this area. The land to the left of the active rails in front of me and the land on both sides of the active rails behind me is the Town of Oshkosh, but the land to the right of the active rails in front of me is the City of Oshkosh. Go about 400' behind me and the land on both sides of the active rails is the City of Oshkosh. |
