| Looking northeast along the CN, former SOO, rails to the junction with UP and/or WN, former C&NW, rails at Chippewa Falls, WI on 23 Jun. '16. I haven't been able to find the historic name for this junction, but this area south of the river was originally called French Town. Later it was the Village of South Chippewa, until annexation by Chippewa Falls ca. 19 Apr. '87. The facility in the background is Premium Waters, Inc. It was Chippewa Springs Co. or Corp. from 1849 until the current owner acquired it in 1997. |
