| CN local prepares for the short trip back to the former SOO yard after spotting about 4 or 5 covered hoppers at Galloway Co. via former C&NW rails at Neenah, WI on 17 Mar. '14. These rails used to be the C&NW mainline through Neenah and Menasha, but now end just short of S. Commercial St. at Galloway Co. The facility was started in ‘27 at 601 S. Commercial St. as Neenah Milk Products; Galloway took it over in ‘55. The portion of the facility you see is relatively recent addition built over the original ROW after portions of the C&NW main line were torn up. The older parts of the factory are out of frame on the right. |
