TPPX 75002
Title:  TPPX 75002
Description:  TPPX 75002 woodchip gondola was part of the consist of a CN local crossing Thilmany Rd. while servicing the Expera Specialty Solutions (originally Thilmany Pulp and Paper Co.) paper mill on the banks of the Fox River via former C&NW rails at Kaukauna, WI on 9 May '17. Looking southeast along Thilmany Rd. It should be labeled Stribley Rd., but it appears that the remnants of Stribley Rd. and Thilmany Rd. will now just be referred to as the latter. Portions of both roads were altered or removed during the restoration of the original Thilmany mill (out of frame to the right) and the creation of its new parking lot.

GREX 6007
Title:  GREX 6007
Description:  GREX 6007 SPS® (Self-Powered SlotMachine®) in the CN, former SOO, yard off N. Linwood Ave. at W. College Ave. at Appleton Junction, WI on 13 May '17. The SlotMachine® work platform, GREX 60540, consists of several gondolas permanently connected with articulated couplings. There are no bulkheads between the cars, so an excavator can traverse the entire length of the train’s floor to load or unload material. This small yard used to serve as an interchange for the SOO and Chicago & North Western (C&NW). Later it served as an intermodal yard for the WC.

CN 2128, CN 2163, and CN 8867
Title:  CN 2128, CN 2163, and CN 8867
Description:  A southbound CN unit train of 2-bay covered hoppers passes the depot/yard office and the sad remnants of the former C&NW yard at Oshkosh, WI on 29 May '17. The depot/yard office sits at the approximate location of the C&NW’s South Oshkosh depot, a smaller, plainer structure than their once ornate Oshkosh depot which still stands less than a mile to the north. Historically, everything south of the Fox River was once known as South Oshkosh. The C&NW South Oshkosh depot was saved from demolition, but its current fate is unknown to me. I have seen post-relocation photographs of it on the internet, but they do not reveal its precise location. Some references state it was moved to downtown Oshkosh, others state it was moved to a park in Oshkosh. If it still survives, I have not found it yet. The yard was torn up in Aug. '16. There had been no cars spotted here since at least 31 Jan. '16. They did leave the passing siding and team track.
